Brain Capital is a specialized funding company founded by a students' initiative of the WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar in 2005.
Today, Brain Capital is one of the biggest suppliers of education funds and the leading partner for students, universities and investors regarding alternative financing concepts for higher education. Usually Brain Capital promotes the Generation Contract which does not only include a classic repayment but also the support of future students due to the percentual contribution of the income after graduation.
Brain Capital was founded by Marco Vietor, a former WHU student in Vallendar near Koblenz, with support of Prof. Markus Rudolf, also WHU. During his studies and in conversations with prospective applicants/ students, several financial concerns were voiced and resulted in students declining their admission due to financial issues. Highly skilled and talented high-school graduates did not even apply at private universities for that reason. The idea of the "Reverse Generational Contract" and the strong bond between former students and graduates ("alumni") to their private universities and colleges created Brain Capital.
The management, Marco Vietor and Johannes Frankenfeld, and their team are supported by a renowned board of advisors which has gained expert knowledge in funding and financing for more than 150 years. Up to now, Brain Capital has established 19 education fundings - both institutional and private investors have opportunity to participate. Additionally, Brain Capital is an exclusive provider of education funding with promising Investment Grade Ratings. Currently the company administrates €77 mio (as of March 31, 2015)
A subsidy agreement comprises between 10.000 and 80.000 euros depending on university, degree program and funding amount.
We cooperate with 10 of the most famous universities in Germany: the offered degree programs vary widely - from business management to law to medicine, hospitality management, tourism management, logistics, IT, politics and communication. About 1.200 students under contract - 800 students and 400 alumni who are repaying already. Repayment rate is at 99.9 %.
Brain Capital is a young, professional and dynamic funding company which is known for its closeness and availability to all parties - investors, students and prospective participants.
